Samsung is just two days away from launching the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 , and the hype has already started. The Galaxy Unpacked 2017 event will be held in New York on March 29, and it will kick off at 11am EDT (9.30pm IST). The rumour mill has been working overtime lately, and there’s little that we don’t already know about the device.
The event is set to be live streamed on the Galaxy webpage, and Samsung has not announced any limitations on devices or browsers, so it should presumably work on most devices and browsers worldwide. We have compiled all the information on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 that we know so far, and here’s everything you need to know ahead of the launch.
Samsung Galaxy S8 price
According to the recent rumour mill, the Samsung Galaxy S8 price will start at EUR 799 (roughly N273,988), Galaxy S8 at EUR 899 (roughly N308,011 ), new Gear VR will cost EUR 129 (roughly N44,197), new Gear 360 will be priced at EUR 229 (roughly N78,459), and an accessory that could provide a Continuum-like called DeX could be priced at EUR 150 (roughly N78,459).
However, a recent leak out of Italy claims that the Galaxy S8 will be even more expensive and will be sold at EUR 829 (roughly N284,275) while the bigger S8 should be priced at EUR 929 (roughly N318,566). With these leaks, one thing is for sure, the Galaxy S8 will definitely be more expensive than the Galaxy S7 launched last year.
Samsung Galaxy S8 specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 are expected to sport 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch Super AMOLED pressure sensitive displays respectively, with QHD display resolutions (2400×2960 pixels).
